Head toward the Bird Sanctuary at Crab Bank Island, home to thousands of nesting shorebirds including threatened species of Wilsons Plover and Eastern Brown Pelicans. In the shallows you can often see dolphins, jumping mullet fish and an occasional manatee.

From this spot you will have incredible views of the Old Village of Mount Pleasant, Sullivans Island, Fort Sumter, Downtown Charleston, Fort Sumter, Fort Johnson, Castle Pinckney and the Arthur Ravenell Jr. bridge.
