The Apache Trail was Arizona’s first designated “Historic Highway” and is one of the most scenic drives in the west. Two of the more colorful stops are Goldfield Ghost Town and Tortilla Flat. Goldfield was a gold miner’s paradise, but soon after the vein stopped producing Goldfield quickly turned into a ghost town. You will have a chance to practice your gold panning techniques, marvel at the original mining gear, or spend time at Lu Lu’s Bordello.

You will be treated to a six mile narrated nature cruise on Canyon Lake by the famous Dolly Steamboat. As part of the cruise, there may be opportunities to see bighorn sheep, bald eagles, and a host of other desert animals as well as unforgettable views of 1,300 ft. volcanic cliff walls of Canyon Lake. The tour will continue to Tortilla Flat in the Superstition Wilderness to experience the beauty of the Sonoran desert.
