GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR RENTAL

RENTAL PERIOD
The shortest rental period is for 24 hours. In case of delays in delivering the vehicle, 1/5 of the daily rental fee shall be requested for each extra hour. Daily rental fee shall be requested including the CDW (Insurance) in deliveries with delays more than 5 hours.
LONG-TERM RENTALS
The minimum rental period is 30 days for long-term rentals. Special price shall be applied. You may reach SUN Reservation Center from the telephone number 0 216 318 90 40 or you may call the nearest SUN Office in order to receive further information regarding the price of rental and conditions of rental.
ONE-WAY RENTAL
One-way rental fee shall be applied in cases where vehicle is delivered in another city than the city it has been rented regardless of the rental period. You may call SUN Reservation Center or the nearest SUN Office in order to receive further information regarding the price of one-way rental.
TAKING DELIVERY-DELIVERY OF THE VEHICLE
Delivery of the vehicles and taking delivery of the vehicles from our customers is free of charge from our International Airport Offices that give 24 hours service and also from our other offices during working hours. The vehicle deliveries that may eventuate excluding the working hours shall be subjected to additional fee except for the ones that may eventuate at our International Airport Offices.
AIRPORT SERVICE FEE
Airport Service fee shall be applied for the rentals that may realize from the SUN offices located at International Airport that give 24 hours service. This fee shall be calculated as Euro 10 + VAT per vehicle or the equivalent of the said price in YTL and/or other foreign currency regardless of the rental period.
GENERAL RENTAL TERMS / DRIVER’S LICENSE-AGE OF USAGE
It is necessary to be at least 21 years of age for the CDMR-IDMR-IWMR group vehicles, and at least 25 years of age for the SDMR-SDAR group vehicles, and at least 28 years of age for the FDMR-FDAR-SVMR group vehicles and the said requires a driver’s license that is valid for 2 years.
ADDITIONAL DRIVER
Drivers besides the lessee and those who are in conformity with the provisions of age of usage shall only be authorized to drive the vehicle on condition that their valid driver’s license and identity cards are registered to the agreement. The insurances shall be null and void in cases where it is determined that there is no other registry and the driver who has no registries has made the accident.
SUBJECTS THAT ARE INCLUDED/NOT INCLUDED TO THE PRICE
The prices include the unlimited kilometer driving right and maintenance expenses of the vehicle.
Gas, bridge, highway fees, traffic tickets and insurances, one-way fee, expenses regarding vehicle delivery and taking delivery of the vehicle and extra requirements such as baby seats and also the VAT (Value Added Tax) is not included to the given price.
PAYMENT- DEPOSIT
Any and all valid credit cards shall be accepted for the payment of the rental fee. An empty credit card slip shall be taken as a deposit. SUN Express cards shall only be accepted together with a credit card.
The vehicles shall be delivered to the customer with full gas tank and shall be taken back from the customer also with full gas tank; gas difference fee together with additional service fee shall be required from the customer if the customer brings back the vehicle with incomplete or empty gas tank.
SUN RENT A CAR PRESERVES ITS RIGHT TO AMEND THE PRICES AND CONDITIONS AND THE MODELS OF VEHICLES STATED IN THE TARIFF WITHOUT THE NEED OF A PRIOR NOTICE.
TRAFFIC TICKETS
In accordance with the traffic laws in Turkey, the speed limit in the highways is 120 km maximum, 90 km in the intercity highways and 50 km in the city. Please pay attention to the NO PARKING signs.
Any and all traffic tickets and legal liabilities arising out of the defect of lessee shall be under the responsibility of the lessee. The traffic tickets that are delivered to SUN following the delivery of the car shall be reflected to the lessee, and the concerned price shall be collected from the lessee in cash or by credit card (mail order) payment. Moreover, in case official or legal authorities hold the vehicle for any reason, this period of time shall be included in the time period of the agreement.

IMPORTANT NOTES
The damages that may arise due to usage, damages of interior and exterior accessories such as; sliding tape, the license found in the vehicle, traffic set, and number plate shall not be accepted under the scope of the insurance. The accident reports must be delivered to SUN offices within 48 hours.
General Conditions for Rental
Insurance Policies
The vehicles belonging to the lessee are secured either by a compulsory or an optional insurance within the frame of the Turkish laws in force and insurance legislation. 
The compulsory Indemnity Insurance which does not require an additional premium payment for the lessee and the therapy expenses, material damages, death and disablement expenses of the third persons that are involved in the accident except for the driver of the SUN vehicle shall be covered within the limits determined by the law.
SUN provides the below stated optional insurances to its customers besides the compulsory insurances.  The lessee may benefit from the stated insurances by making the daily extra payments and signing the acceptance box in the front of the agreement.
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
Any and all damages and liabilities that may arise during the usage of the vehicle rented from SUN Rent a Car shall be covered by the lessee. The Collision Damage Waiver shall secure the material damages that may arise during the usage of the driver.
Personal Accident Insurance (PAI)
An insurance that may cover the indemnities in case of the death of the driver and the passengers in the SUN vehicle in a possible accident within certain limits.
Theft Protection (TP)
The driver may secure the vehicle against theft with this insurance.
Tire - Window – Headlight Insurance (TWH)
The lessee may secure the tire trouble, window and headlight breakage that are not included in the automobile insurance.
Herein below stated conditions are required for the insurances to be valid;

• To comply with all the traffic codes and regulations,

• To avoid rough usage and being completely faulty,

• To avoid drunk and drugged driving,

• Not exceeding the legal speed limits,

• Taking the alcohol and traffic reports before moving the  vehicle from its place, and delivering the reports to SUN within 48 hours, the latest,

• The driver being registered to the lease agreement,

• The vehicle should not be driven by drivers without a driver’s license. On contrary, the insurances shall be null and void and the lessee shall be liable for all the damages. Moreover, making false statements to SUN representatives, authorized traffic squads and local gendarmerie forces and driving the vehicle in the roads that are closed to traffic and prohibited areas and also carrying excess load and passenger shall lead to the automatic termination of the insurances.
