Join a group of
fellow travelers and take a walk on the wild side through
Manhattan’s infamous Hell’s Kitchen. Find out where gang
leaders, bootleggers and other shady characters rubbed shoulders
in the crime-ridden cauldron of this formerly notorious
neighborhood. Visit the bars where great actors and playwrights
once spent their off-duty hours. Learn how the arrival of
immigrants in the 1950s reignited gang violence and inspired the
musical 'West Side Story'. Hell's Kitchen may have risen from
its seedy past to be a popular and safe place for an evening
out, but it still has plenty of tales to tell! With your guide
you will visit four to five different pubs during the evening
and enjoy three complimentary domestic beers along the way. You
can easily walk from one bar to the other and the distance
covered on the tour is about 1 mile (1.6 km).
