Welcome
to
Gatorland in Orlando, Florida! Featuring Alligator Island, home to the largest reptiles in the park. This 110-acre theme
park and wildlife preserve, combines “Old Florida” charm with
exciting, new exhibits and entertainment. The park opened as a
roadside attraction in 1949. Today, it provides
affordable-priced family fun with thousands of alligators,
crocodiles, aviary, breeding marsh with observation tower,
petting zoo, nature walk, educational wildlife programs, gift
shop, Florida’s best train-ride, restaurant, new Gator Gully
Splash Park and much more. One-of-A-Kind reptilian shows include
the Gator Wrestlin’ Show, Gator Jumparoo and the Up-close
Encounters Show.
Hundreds of
alligators inhabit "Gator Lake", and Alligator Island is the
best place to see Gatorland's largest alligators and crocodiles
up close and personal as they soak up the Florida sun. The Breeding Marsh & Bird Rookery is a
natural breeding area for Gatorland's gators, with 130 adult alligators - 100
females and 30 males. Living their lives in a completely natural
environment, these alligators produce the next generation of Gatorland's
namesake reptiles.
