Silver Summit Jeep Rentals is one of the largest Jeep rental
agencies in Colorado and one of the few offering unlimited mileage. We
are conveniently located in Silverton, gateway to over 700 miles of the
best Jeep roads in the United States. Historical sights, including ghost
towns, are located all along the Jeep roads. Waterfalls, wildflowers,
and wildlife can be seen as you travel on your own self guided tour. When you come in to pick up your
Jeep, we will give you a map, and provide you with suggestions based
upon your interests and your experience. More than 70% of our renters are "first
timers!"
Vehicles
We rent four passenger Wranglers and
five passenger Jeep Liberties. Every year, all jeeps are new
models. All of our Jeeps are equipped with 6 cylinder
engines. The Wranglers are stick shifts and "rag" tops and you may take the top down if you take the
Jeep without side windows installed.
Rental Hours
You may start you rental day at 6:30 p.m. on the day before your
rental. If you do not pick the Jeep up the evening before your rental
day, you may pick the Jeep up at 8:00 a.m. on the rental day. All
vehicles must be returned by 5:00 p.m. on the last rental day.
From Silver Summit you are within walking distance to
everything in Silverton, historical tours, shopping, the famous Durango
and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, restaurants, etc. If you are not familiar with the location of Silverton, Silverton is
50 miles north of Durango and 60 miles south of Montrose in southwestern
Colorado. Silverton lies in the middle of the San Juan range of the
Rockies.
Location
Silver Summit is conveniently
located in the Town of Silverton at the base of Kendall
Mountain. After turning off Highway 550, take your first right
on 7th St. and go two blocks. We occupy the entire block
starting at the corner of 7th St. and Mineral.

offer a high quality experience within the Town of Silverton.
From the park you can walk to everything in Silverton. We hope

Typical gas usage is approximately $7 per day (most people
cover less than 100 miles of Jeep roads in a day). Pets are
