REFLECTIONS
See yourself as never before
at a special Exploratorium exhibition open June 19 through
September 20, 2009.
You’ll hardly recognize
yourself! Meet the new, infinitely more detailed you at a giant
mirror, watch as your image is reinvented in a video snowstream,
create a crowd of yourself in a walk-in kaleidoscope, and merge
with a friend into a whole new face. This summer, you’ll be the
main attraction at the new Reflections exhibition.
This freshly curated collection of re-imagined exhibits, public
programs, and interactive installations from visiting artist
Daniel Rozin lets you look at your own image as you’ve never
seen it before. While you’re at it, explore the scientific and
cultural history of mirrors—one of humankind’s most influential
and intimate technologies—with activities and special events.
Mirrors have played fundamental roles in science and inspired
countless creative explorations of their poetic and
psychological qualities. Reflections is included
in the price of admission to the Exploratorium. For more info:

DID YOU KNOW that artists—as well as exhibit developers,
educators, and scientists—created many of the museum’s
exhibits? Since the Exploratorium opened in 1969, art and
science have complemented each other on the museum floor.
